The Veil
The morning began in red — silk held aloft, gold beneath it, and a bride appearing and disappearing like something the light itself was keeping secret.
Chapter 2
The Procession
Under a brocade umbrella, through a sea of silk sarees and turbans, the families carried them toward each other the old way — loudly, joyfully, all at once.
Chapter 3
The Vows
Fire, garlands, a stolen smile in a mirror — and one photograph in black and white, because some laughter needs no colour at all.
